A vintage fancy men's wristwatch that is operational but likely needs cleaning for use. It is wound all the way and will run for minutes before stopping. Dial is marked HAMILTON. The case is solid 14K white gold. The leather and resin combination band is in good condition with some grunge buildup in spots. The back cover snaps on and off well but does have two pinhead size dings. On the inside of the back is stamped: HAMILTON WATCH CO 14K LANCASTER.P.A.. On the back of the mechanism it is stamped: HAMILTON WATCH CO 979 ADJUSTED 19 JEWELS 2909822 . The dial has a silver toned finish with light surface corrosion along the edge between the 11 and 12 position. Under close inspection there is an approx. 1/4" deep scratch running inward at the 3 o'clock position. The winding knob pulls to an outward position to work the time set. Knob has scratches as well as the upper bezel rim in that area. There is some light surface corrosion and discoloration in spots observed on the works. The glass crystal has good transparency and no scratches observed. We have provided many photos to assist in the description of the watch. Measurements are shown in the photos next to a ruler.
