Excellent condition, no cracks or chips on the dial. Nice clear crystal. Winds, sets, and runs normally.Inside of case back reads Warranted 14K U.S.A. Assay 184407. It is inscribed with small jewelers marks.
The case has fancy engraving which I have accented in the picture below with reflection. It has a smooth even gold tone. I did not notice any dents or dings.
There is an EM monogram on the shield.
Back lid feels a bit loose on its hinge when open but snaps shut tightly.
Dial is excellent.
Pocket watch without chain weighs 72.6 grams.

Engraving reads " Presented to Edward Marlin by Compton HILL CL.R.A. 555 JAN 20TH 1902"
The watch chain is marked .375 which is 9 carat gold. Its weight is 12.5 grams.
