This beautiful pocket watch belonged to my great-grandfather. Made by M.I. Tobias and Company it is one of only a few chain driven watches in existence. (One of my pictures shows a close up of the drive chains!) Further, 2 months ago, I had the watch refurbished and the mainspring replaced by an old watch expert here in San Diego. ($450.00) The watch keeps excellent time!The watch is hand made and hand engraved in Liverpool, England by one of the finest watch makers of that era. The face has three-color gold carving, and the case is hand carved gold as well. Total weight is 93 grams.If you collect gold and pocket watches, you will NOT see another watch like this pass by. Take a good look.
