Everyone needs something like this in their collection! ;) This is the most unusual watch I've owned and is certainly a great conversation piece.The big spaceship-shaped hand is a minute hand that moves normally. The aperture at the base of the minute hand shows the hour using a jump-hour mechanism. So the time is read by reading the number in the small circle for the hour, and the minute hand as you would in a normal watch. The planet earth at 6 o'clock acts as an alternative to the seconds hand, and makes one full rotation a minute. The case size is 45mm at the widest point, but the watch actually wears smaller than that because the crown is positioned at 12 o'clock. The watch comes with a black dial and the case is made of both brushed and polished steel. The numerals on the hour disc, the stars on the dial and the hour markers are all lumed (it looks pretty cool in the dark). The watch comes with a domed sapphire crystal (hard to photograph, I must say). The caseback is also sapphire. The movement is a Unitas handwind. The strap is black rubber with deployant clasp.
