Beautiful vintage 1950's Glycine Airman (1955-57). You can find many black dialed Airman's, but how many white/champagne dials do you see....not many.I have had the watch reviewed by the keeper of the vintage Glycine Airman archives and if you know Airman, you know to whom I am referring (EK).The dial is in beautiful original condition. I have taken a few pictures in different lighting to show the dial. The hands are original and have likely been relumed years ago as the original lume would have been Radium. I will include an original cyclops crystal that is correct for this vintage Airman and would have come on it when new.The bezel and insert work smoothly and are in very nice condition.The case is in very good condition and shows very well. The caseback is from an Airman a couple of years earlier (1953-1955) and likely replaced at service by Glycine in the 50's. The 78K serial number is correct and likely stamped on the earlier caseback by Glycine at service. Remember these were the ultimate Tool watches and this was common when durability and getting back into service was the goal. The Felsa 692 movement works great, as does the hacking feature. This too is quite uncommon, as many hacking movements on the Airman have not been serviced correctly.Will include a Glycine wooden box that is pictured.Pictures are an integral part of listing and description/condition of this watch.
