Rare really nice 1860's Victorian/Civil War era key-wind 18K Gold open face Swiss case pocket watch w/orginal gold dial. It runs but being 150+ years old could use a professional service and lubrication if you plan to use it as a daily precision time piece. Overall good condition slight signs of wear and tear. Measures 34mm in diameter and 11mm thick, 34.7 grams total weight.Superb engraving in tact on the rear cover, middle band and front bezel. Hinges are in very good condition, cover opens and closes tight. There are no personalized engravings/initials etc.This watch is key wound and the time is set from the back via the plain gilt cuvette dust cover in the typical Swiss manner.Outstanding movement and is stamped with Calibre Number 100. Staff, Escapement, and main pivots are jeweled with rubies.Sorry my pics do not do this beautiful antique time piece justice. 18k pure gold shines and well it makes it tough to photograph but I tried and will be happy to take as many as you like.NO RESERVE, so take advantage of this beautiful one of a kind 150+ year old Dress Pocket Watch.GOOD LUCK!PS.
