Vintage Gruen Veri-thin Guardsman Flip Top Watch 405 Hunter Rare (dare I say scarce, but you serious collectors know) Runs and keeps good time, but I don't know when it was last serviced. 1941 based on the movement number. Case number matches the Roman numerals on the bezel. 10K Gold Filled has some brassing on the back and a little wear through on the front and scratches. Spring loaded latch opens and snaps shut. This model has been called "strap 391", "Veri-Thin Guardsman" and in "Vintage Wristwatches" by Reyne Haines is called "Hunter". The glass crystal is perfect. Original dial shows some aging. Comes with a NOS pig skin regular length band. Ask questions.
