DESCRIPTION: In Good Running Order!! Keeps approx 1 minute over 24 hours and is in excellent condition, as seen in the pictures. This is a Riverside Maximus Model#1888 of which only 900 were produced. They were one of the highest grade watches from the Waltham facotry, the next level up was the Premier Maximus which is extremely rare and very expensive. It has a quality gold filled open face case by the Crescent Watch Case Co. The case has finely engraved scroll decoration and an engraved horse and rider scene to the rear. The dial is white enamel porcelain with arabic numerals, a seconds dial at 6 o'clock, blue spade hands, and is signed "American Waltham USA". It has a clean glass crystal to protect the dial. The movement is an extremely high grade keyless wind, 21 jewel (inc 4 diamond end stones), demaskeened 3/4 plate movement with a lever escapement, solid raised gold jewel settings and gold train, 4 diamond end stones (2 in the balance), fully adjusted, compensation balance with overcoil hairspring, and a high grade micro regulator. The movement is signed "AWWCo Waltham Mass, Riverside Maximus" and is also numbered "7000742" which dates it to around 1895. Other markings on the movement are "21 Jewels, and Adjusted". Diameter: 52mm Total Weight: 108g
