AGASSIZ 18K SOLID GOLD OPEN FACE 8 DAY W/WIND INDICATOR PWPlease note I am not a professional watch collector. I am merely liquidating a collection and therefore do not accept returns. This auction is starting at the lowest price my research allows. The photos are the best description so please look carefully and bid accordingly. The item pictured is the one you receive.I was only able to find one example of these eight day Agassiz in an old archive with a pretty bad looking dial. I personally can't find another one like this one for sale anywhere! This watch was made for the famous New York Jewelers Black Starr and Frost a premier Jeweler. The movement is so beautiful with its large ruby red jewels. Both case lids and the movement numbers all match. When receiving a full wind to the eight day mark, it actually goes down to the preceding number 24 hours later. It ran a full eight days within a couple of minutes at the end. Like anyone selling antique/vintage pocket watches, I can't guarantee timing, longevity, etc... A professional watch cleaning is always recommended, especially on a pocket watch this hard to find and rare. One lucky auction winner will have a ultra pristine rare 8 day watch!
