Featuring a thick & heavy 14K yellow gold case & three covers with all exterior surfaces completely covered in the most amazing hand engraved decorations. Fully hallmarked with no monogramA stunning 150 year old Victorian Waltham 14K gold hunter with a signed American Waltham Watch Co. with a full plate 11 jewel safety barrel movement in excellent condition! The signed "WALTHAM" snow white fine porcelain dial is mint with black enamel Roman numerals and seconds sweep at the bottom marked out in 10 second intervals. Blue steel spade pointers finish off the pristine fine porcelian dial.
The inside rear cover is engraved "Warranted ROY 14K U. S. ASSAY 212071". The inside of the polished 14K gold cuvee is stamped with an age worn symbol and matching serial number "212071". All serial numbers match, proving the watch to be all original. The pristine Seaside grade full plate safety barrel 11 jewel movement is signed "American Waltham Watch Co. SAFETY BARREL 5721164".
The extra thick 14K gold case edge has intricate scroll engravings, all done meticulously by hand. Please look at the many photos for a close look. Absolutely gorgeous!The watch cover opens by pushing down on the winder. It is in the hunter style
Hunting movements are characterized by the stem placement at the 3:00 position using a standard dial. Hunting movements can sometimes be found in open face cases, as displayed to the right. These are commonly referred to as "sidewinders
There is a ding in the front cover. See Photos a few scratches on inside covers. still a very nice piece. I was told by a jeweler that it could be fixed to run
