Up for sale is a VINTAGE VERY FINE CHESAPEAKE & OHIO FAVORITE RAILROAD POCKET WATCH WITH W. L. FREDEKING, HINTON & GLIFTON FORGE. W.L. FREDEKING was an inspector for the C & O Railroad and this can be found on GOOGLE. The case is a very fine PHILADELPHIA WATCH CASE CO. - GUARANTEED 20 YEARS and number 8765285 with an engine embossed on the back with no dings or dents and no wear to the gold filled. The movement is two tone with checkerboard DAMASKEENING with all gold colored screws and gold jewel settings and a gold regulator. The movement is an 18 size made by Illinois and is marked: CHESAPEAKE & OHIO FAVORITE. - SAFETY PINION - ADJUSTED - 17 JEWELS and serial number 1268326 which dates the watch to 1897. The dial is a white porcelain double sunk and is in great condition, no edge chips, cracks or chips or fine hairlines. The crystal is a beveled glass and is perfect, no chips cracks or scratches. Dial is marked: W.L. FREDEKING, HINTON & GLIFTON FORGE which is in WEST VIRGINIA and W.L. FREDEKING was an inspector for the C & O Railroad and this can be verified on Google. This is a VERY FINE watch with absolutely no problems and deserves a place in any fine Railroad watch collection.
