This watch has been in my collection for a number of years and, although it functioned correctly when I bought it, the chronograph feature is still functioning but not correctly as mentioned above and below.This early 40's Angelus chronograph is a beautiful watch with a fantastic original black dial that is correctly signed with SWISS MADE below the 6 o'clock position, a stainless steel case and a 215 caliber movement. The combination of steel case and black dial Angelus chronograph watches are getting very hard to find, especially in this condition. The 3-piece stainless steel case is 35mm in diameter without the crown or pushers. It is in excellent condition no major dings, dents or scratches and only minor signs of wear. The back also has no scratches, dings or dents. The black dial is authentic, original (not repainted) and beautiful. Black dials are the most beautiful but are also the most difficult to photograph because because of camera glare caught by the crystal, but this dial is in excellent condition. The Angelus 215 caliber movement is beautiful with no signs of corrosion. It runs strong, keeps time, and the chronograph feature functions but not correctly. The minute hand records a minute when the sweeper hand passes 28 seconds and the sweeper hand resets at the 1 second position. It will likely require repairs or adjustment and resetting of the sweeper hand. I am therefore selling this watch in as is condition with no returns. The watch comes on a new high-grade padded and stitched genuine leather strap with a silver tone buckle. This is a beautiful watch and a rare find but the chronograph feature requires repair or adjustment.
