It is a part of Piallo, a watch and jewelery company that started in Vienna and moved to Madrid. The company also maintains a workshop in Pforzheim, Germany. Pierre Koukjian, a very creative watch and jewellery designer, founded the company with a friend and for a dozen years developed its reputation by making prototypes, doing research work, stone-setting and creating both watches and jewellery for numerous renowned Swiss brands. They then decided to develop their own brand, and launched deLaCour, producing their first collection called Via Larga in time for BaselWorld 2003. The featured watch is a Delacour Promess Reef Saver in Titanium black case, PVD titanium bezel, Anti-clockwise rotating internal bezel adjustable with crown at 2'o clock. measuring 48mm of the diameter. Calibre DC 261, Winding Automatic, Power Reserve 42 hours. It has a Black dial with Luminova filled indexes hours markers with Skeleton hands with luminescent coating hours and minutes markers. Date window display at 3 o'clock position. minutes markers around outer of the rim. Functions: Hours, Minutes, Small Seconds. Date window. Scratch resistant sapphire crystal. Double caseback. Black Rubber Strap with Tang clasp. Water resistant at 50 meters. LIMITED EDITION 222 Pieces. The titanium case and rubber strap with titanium PVD clasp have been stoutly composed so as to not corrode with the seawater.
A unidirectional inner dial is managed by a crown installed at 2 o´clock as well as a screw closure crown for date and time at 3 o'clock.A sturdy PVD titanium case, PVD titanium bezel and rubber strap ensure that the watch can withstand such tough conditions without any fears of oxidation, while a unidirectional rotating inner bezel (a standardized feature of any diver’s watch and doubly important to free-divers, for whom every second counts) can be operated by a separate crown at 2 o’clock to measure dive times.--The 48.5mm Reef Saver is powered by the DC 261 self-winding movement, which has a power reserve of 42 hours. —limited edition of only 222 pieces.Personal Note--Following the sea dwellers or just lazy beach boys and girls, the Promess Diver Reef Saver is ready for some underwater fun. with a stunning 48.5 mm case and water resistance of 500 meters, the Reef Saver let’s you dive down the depths of the sea with comfort and style. --I personally love this watch, pictures don't make justice to this masterpiece.-- The watch very comfortable, it is big in size and yet fits the wrist as a globe & because it is manufactured in Titanium is light, so you hardly feel you are wearing a watch at all. --For everyday wear the watch features a magnifying date window at 3 o’clock and clearly legible minute indications around the dial—all of which, together with the bold hands—are luminescent for excellent underwater visibility.The color combination is spectacular the monochromatic Black with just a touch of White, Red & Yellow, as well as the musty-layered Dial , Date and Rotating Inner Bezel (by Crown at 2 o'clock) it makes the piece stand out.-- The watch is powered by a Swiss made deLaCour Cal.
