1900 Reid and Sons, Newcastle on Tyne 18ct gold Half Hunter Pocket Watch This is a truly magnificent watch, a 1900 Chester hallmarked 18ct solid gold half hunter pocket watch made by quality watch maker Reid and Sons Newcastle on Tyne. It has been marked as by appointment to the Queen & Prince of Wales indicating it is a signature piece. Weighing in at 146 grams this has a huge amount of gold in it and is a high quality timepiece full of jewels. It runs and keeps good time but is missing the internal glass, this isn't a problem but it would be good to replace it when you get it serviced, something I have not done and recommend you do would you wish to use it. Do your research on how rare and expensive watches of this size and quality sell for and you will see that this is a bargain.I have taken the time to take the best picture I could so look carefully so you can see the good detail and establish your own opinion on condition , what you see is the what you will get This item came from a deceased estate I am selling, see my other sales for other items from this estate
