Le Roy, Paris 22K Multi-Colored Repousse with Rare Cylinder Conversion Movement Pocket Watch with Key Le Roy; Paris, France; Man's; Circa 1730 Complications: Time only and early cylinder. CASE: The 22K multi-color 16-size/48 mm swing-out case features an open face and repousse decorations. DIAL: This white porcelain dial displays Roman numerals and filigree hands. MOVT: This key-set movement with cylinder/fusee escapement is gilt with a full plate layout and signed. CONDITION: C 3-16 (Case is in Very Good Condition – worn) D 3-54-59 (Dial is in Very Good Condition – chipped, winding aperture – restorations) M 3 (Movement is in Very Good Condition) R 8 (Rarity based on a scale of #1 being very common to #10 being extremely rare) Experts Opinion: When new and better movements or escapements became available, often owners of special cased watches had their movements converted by local masters.
