Decovigny Silver Cased "Oignon" Pocket Watch With Amazing Movement Design & Details
Decovigny; France; Man's; Circa 1710s
CASE: The white coin silver 56 mm plain case features an open face.
DIAL: This white porcelain dial displays Roman numerals and beetle/poker hands.
MOVT: Key-set movement with verge escapement is gilt with a full plate layout & signed.
Experts Opinion: The term Oignon referred to the watch's shape, very similar to the vegetable that we eat.  The dial on this early timepiece is very desirable.  Each hour point, on the dial, has a raised circular area.  A great piece with a movement that will "wow" you.  eACAT1-25
