I'm delighted to offer this excellent example of Hamilton's Ventura--introduced in 1957, along with the Van Horn, as the world's first battery-powered watches. It's as innovative outside as in, with a large, spectacular asymmetric 14K solid yellow gold case with stepped wings and a striking dial and hands--all created by the famous designer Richard Arbib to make a statement on the wrist. It still does.I bought this restored, excellent-condition watch from Rene Rondeau, the dean of Hamilton Electrics, and have worn it only a handful of times on special occasions  since the last time he serviced it for me. (Mostly, it's been stored away with the crown pulled out to minimize wear on the movement.) It has a signed crown, an accurate redial, and a replacement crystal in good condition, and Rene did a great job of bringing the whole timepiece as close as possible to its original 1950s glory. It contains the 505 movement--the most reliable of Hamilton's electric movements--and has the serial number S085334. It's currently keeping good time and has a black lizard-grain band.Venturas in nice shape and good working condition are not that plentiful on eBay. I've loved owning this one and am looking forward to it finding a new home.Winning bidder will pay bid plus $30 insured shipping in the U.S. Sold with a guarantee: Return within three days of receipt for refund of bid price.
