For sale is an antique circa 1868-1883 E. Howard Boston 14k solid gold hunting case pocket watch. The watch features a beautiful engraved front and back case, with inner dust cover, enamel dial with Roman numerals, original blued steel hands, sub seconds hand, acrylic crystal, and a 15 jewel nickel movement with sunburst damaskeening. The inner case cover is signed with the serial number "6025309', and the number "4". The first back cover is signed "E.H. & Co. Warranted 14K US Assay 6025309". This is an original Howard case. The pocket watch is stem wind, stem set.The watch was just serviced by us, runs good, keeps good time, and for your added piece of mind it comes with a full one year warranty directly through our shop. This is an 18 size pocket watch. The serial number on the movement is 37,585. The condition of the watch is very good overall. The crown needs to be pressed in all the way and hard in order for the front cover to open, since its not worn. The front cover opens to a 90 degree angle. The dial is good, and I do not see any hairlines or imperfections that stand out. The crown and bow are brass gold filled not solid gold. Please take a look at all the photos and ask questions before making an offer. I try to describe my items in all honesty as best that I can. Im not disclosing weight anymore because after selling about 20+ solid gold pocket watches in the last 6 weeks and many selling for gold melt value or less I would much rather sell the watch to a person that knows what it is and will appreciate it. Sorry I lost money on most of those sales and I cannot do that. Keep in mind this is an antique watch so you might find flaws or imperfections, and timing will not be perfect since it is a mechanical timepiece. Please be certain this is what you want before you buy because I will no longer accept returns for any other reason other than "not as described".I sell good quality watches that are all original, not put together from parts, and usually they are serviced, restored, repaired or at least exactly described if they have any issues. If a watch comes with a warranty the warranty card included will tell you exactly where to send it for "no questions asked warranty repair". Since I do check, and re-check all watches before mailing out, if any arrive non working I will no longer accept them back for a return. That is not considered "not as described" since things can happen during transit. Warranty work is always honored.Payment expected at time of purchase for buy it now items, payment expected within 24 hours for auction items. We pack safe, ship fast, fully insured and free worldwide for this particular item. Tracking will only be available for US orders. We will ship this item via Priority, Express, or Fedex Overnight or Fedex 2 Day, depending on what we see fit as best option at the time of shipping.
