Hamilton 18size 17Jewel Grade 936 Railroad Pocket Watch marked Chesapeake & Ohio Railway Special on the Movement.Rare early Railroad Marked Watch for the Hamilton or Railroad Collector. Hamilton factory records show this watch as being originally sent to the finishing department in September 1895 and shipped in May 1897.Movement is in running condition, but has not been recently cleaned or adjusted for timekeeping accuracy. Plates as shown in attached pictures are bright and in relatively nice condition with a few minor scratches from normal use.Dial is double sunk, Roman Numeral and faces up nicely with a few imperfections that can be seen in the attached dial close up picture.Case is unmarked snap back and bezel glass back display style case which shows off the movement nicely.Overall, a nice example of a rare and desirable Hamilton Railroad Marked Watch.Sold as-is and shipped to United States addresses only.
