I am please to offer from my private collection this mega rare antique gold plated&enamel 7 Complications Moonphase Calendar award oversize watch for Chinese market c1900's.The watch has been awarded to the Chinese Navy Captain,together with the Order of the Double Dragon (the most highest Chinese Order decoration). The watch is decorated on the rear side with the enamelled order of the Double Dragon. (The Imperial Order of the Double Dragon was an order awarded in the period of the Qing Dynasty. The Order was founded by the Guangxu Emperor on 7 February 1882 as an award for outstanding services to the Throne. Originally it was awarded only to foreigners but was extended to Chinese subjects from 1908) The watch has a high complicated movement. The watch is in excellent condition! Gunmetal oversize case 78mm without the crown!!! A giant watch! Weight -358g heavy! This is the bigest and heaviest pocket watch I have ever seen! A museum quality masterpiece! Amazing hand engraved gild dial with enamel ciphers and blue steel hands.
