This is a vintage c. 1940's stainless steel Minerva antimagnetic chronograph. Vintage Minerva Ref. 1335 antimagnetic stainless steel "waterproof" case. Diameter: 34mm without crown, thickness: 13mm, some age related marks but in very good condition. Screw-down solid case back stamped "STAINLESS STEEL 1335," and the jeweled interior of the antimagnetic back cover is engraved in the center with "MINERVA WATCH CO. – SWISS," and a serial number. It has round chronograph pushbuttons and a pull out winding crown. 34mm diameter solid two-body case, downturned lugs, and stepped angled bezel. Nicely aged dial with radium hands and hour markers, small seconds at 9 o'clock, minute counter at 3 o'clock, acrylic crystal, shock resistant. Blue steel “thermometer" shape baton luminescent radium hands, a center sweep chronograph hand, and luminous radium Arabic numeral hour markers on a plain reserve around a 60-minute/one-fifth second scale with Arabic numerals every five minutes. Around the perimeter is a tachymeter scale. There are twin subsidiary dials, including a running seconds register at 9 o'clock, and a 30-minute totalizer at the 3 o'clock position. It's water resistant, and the 13mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. Please note that this watch is no longer guaranteed to be water resistant to any extent. This watch has the caliber 13-20CH mechanical manual winding column-wheel chronograph movement that's rhodium plated and matte gold. It's constructed with 17 jewels, a straight-line lever escapement, a shock absorber device, and a monometallic balance. It includes a self-compensating Breguet balance spring, an index regulator, and it's stamped with KOS signifying it was originally made for the American marketplace. The mechanism oscillates at 18,800 vph (2.5Hz).   Watch shows certain modest signs of age. Has got a few marks in the case. Dial has an attractive although somewhat uneven patina. Note that some of the images were taken with the lens removed so you could take a better look. Movement is freshly serviced and is fully functional. All in all, this is an excellent vintage steel chrono. Highly collectable and will only increase in value. Don’t let it get away. I offer 100% guarantee on satisfaction.
