This is an 18K rose gold A. Lange & Sohne Saxonia Annual Calendar, 330.032. It has a leather strap with a matching 18K rose gold tang buckle, and a scratch resistant sapphire crystal. It has a transparent sapphire display case back secured with 6 screws. The 38.5mm solid three-body case, rounded bezel, and downturned lugs are polished. The dial is solid silver, with applied red gold baton and cabochon hour index markers, red gold lance hands, and printed recessed sub-dials and an outer minute track. There is a subsidiary dial for the month at the 3 o 'clock position, a sub dial for constant seconds with a zero reset function and the moon phases at 6 o'clock, and the day at 9. It has a big date aperture window at 12 o'clock. The annual calendar will have only 24 hours of error accumulated in 122 years. It's water resistant to 30 meters/100 feet, and it has a 46-hour power reserve at full wind. The 9.8mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed. The automatic self-winding A. Lange & Sohne Caliber L085.1 SAX-0-MAT movement is Glashütte 3/4 plate in German silver, with fausses cotes embellishment. It's constructed with 43 jewels, a shock absorber mechanism, and a straight-line lever escapement. It includes a monometallic balance that's adjusted to 5 positions, a self-compensating flat balance spring, a swan neck micrometer regulator, and a 21K gold micro-rotor with a platinum segment. It includes a hand-engraved balance bridge, and the mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 21,600 vph (3 Hz). The Saxonia was originally Walter Lange’s manually wound, elegant homage to Saxony and his family’s lineal heritage. This watch honors the Saxony tradition of craftsmanship inspired by Augustus the Strong and the technical artistry of Court Clockmaker, Johann Gutkaes, mentor, father-in-law, and eventually the partner of Adolph Lange.
