So, another very rare PLOPROF from the 70`s::::: the first 1000 Meter Certina .this here comes from the military divers watch collection, we could buy last year in Australia. most are gone now; we kept 3 rare watches. this Certina was bought at the Government auction together with marked ones and Droz and rolex issued divers. the markings were shaved from the back; the light concentric circles treatment tell the story. the owner told us the history of all watches. it is 100% correct for the RAN issue model. these late deliveries had the hacking 919 movement. all numbers visible. but without the Royal Australian Navy issue numbers this is a civil watch. the late deliveries had the Number 300 range markings. there are plenty examples on the search sites. the case is in good condition; only 2 marks next to the crown. and that will be the reason, the crown was changed in the past. it does no longer screw in, as it should. we had a few replacement crowns and tubes from certina and we will include a screw in crown and the screw tube here. unsigned. you have your watchmaker install the tube; easy to do. if you can not do it, ask us after you won the auction and we will fix that for the buyer, if desired. this watch does not looked polished. all sorts of little dents and dings are present. the crystal has a few scratches. the pressure ring for the special bezel setup is still tight and unpolished as well. the special PLOPROF bezel turns in one direction and ratchets perfect. this bezel can only be turned , if pressed at the same time. that was a security measure from Certina. the perspex bezel is undamaged. scratched, but not cracked ! quite rare for that kind of a toolwatch. it is the original bezel as well; not a replacement bezel. we might even have a spare crystal somewhere..... head only. the dial is all original and looks not relumed. lume has changed colour. the minute and hour hands have all lume intact. these hands were relumed at the navy service intervalls. not sure, if that is present here. looks pretty old to me.... the white paint on the hour hand is intact but has lost its shine. the orange minute hand looks very nice ansd might have been repainted orange at a later date. this movement looks very, very good. no discolouration from moisture. all functions fine incl. date change. service history unknown; therefore sold as is. diameter without crown: 45 mm. with crown: 46 mm. lug to lug: 48 mm. thickness:18 mm.
