This is a classic Gruen Curvex Cal. 311 yellow gold filled watch. It measures 48mm lug to lug and 20mm wide, not counting the crown. It is in very nice original condition showing some light wear consistent for its age. The back case has an interesting Art Deco dedication engraved. It is accompanied by a period Gruen Curvex box.
This long case model is rare and certainly the highest quality and the best looking among the various Curvex models. A highly collectable yet very much wearable watch - a true conversation piece. Like a vintage 1940's - 1950' American muscle car with a Ferrari heart. I am not affiliated with any of the watch brands I sell.
