Gorgeous old English Lever, Fusee Pocket watch from the 19th Century. Case, Dial and movement is near perfect. Key included. Bright Gold, engine turned outer cases. Solid 18 K half hunter (demi-hunter) case with raised glass bubble gives partial view of face.Inside of the outer dust cover has four stamps PLUS a box with “18” in it for 18K. Some scratches on inner case (centred around both holes from key for posts to set and wind watch). The watch runs with Dail down, but stops ticking when dial up or facing leftright but needs a servicing. Main plate is inscribed with the following; · Serial Number 104785 · 10 Bunhill row, London · Cozens Matthew& Thorpe Inside and outside dust covers have same serial number as main plate – 104785 From the stamps on the Case dust cover - the makers mark is John Williams Great Sutton Street, Islington, London (1850), London assay office, 18 Carat (750), date mark is 1870. Watch weights 120.9 grams Full diameter 51.57 mm Mechanism only diameter = 42.3 mmFree Shipping with Insurance is offered.
