Fine and scarce Julius Assmann 1A antique pocket watch circa 1890 First quality nickel 20 jewel movement #8797. Nickel-finished three-quarter plate movement, jewels carried in screwed gold chatons, pink gold centre wheel, screw compensation balance, gold lever and escape wheel, chatoned diamond endstone on balance. This movement was made for the american market and was originally fittet in a 18k gold case. 1A calibre 43 and displays hour, minute and small second. The movement is in very good, age related condition with minor traces of wear. the movement is jammed, though the balance swings free, the pivot is good.Fine white enamel dial (slight hairline at 6) with black markings and blued steel hands.Bid with confidence.
