Beautiful and rare American Watch Co. Waltham Pocket Watch in 18K Yellow Gold! The watch has the original paper from 1875 on the inside compartment which makes it a rare and special find! The compartment has barely ever been opened, and the paper hasn't been touched by us, so it is in excellent condition! The watch has normal, minor scratching from use on it. No noticeable dents. The script monogram "AGS" is on the front cover. I'm not sure of the original owner or the exact history of item, but it is beautiful and ornate! It measures about 2" in circumference when laid flat. I was told by the appraiser that the interior parts are gilt brass. The serial number is: 831917The watch isn't currently running or in working order. I am not an antiques dealer, and this is from our private, family collection. I have paid to have the watch examined and appraised, and I have described it to the best of my ability.
