* Please ignore my lower score for 'item as described', which should be 5.0. One of my buyers left one star by mistake. Please see feedback comments for more information*For sale is a Fortis Flieger Automatic Chronograph watch, model number 597.20.71. This watch was bought brand new from an eBay seller based in the United States in June 2016. It has only been worn a handful of times, selling because I have bought a Mido chronograph in its place. I have inspected the watch thoroughly and can see no signs of wear, it really does look as good as new. I have tried to photograph this watch as well as possible to give a good indication of its condition. This Fortis Flieger is a limited edition of 500 pieces worldwide and comes with a numbered certificate and case back, this one being number 303. The movement in this watch is a ETA/Valjoux 7750, a very highly regarded Swiss Made workhorse movement that has 25 jewels, day and date, hand-winds and hacks (stopping the second hand). It keeps very good time, gaining around only 8 seconds a day. The chronograph works perfectly and all the hands reset to their exact position after every reset. The case and bracelet are of very high quality and are a combination of brushed and polished stainless steel (the bracelet being entirely brushed). The front glass is a sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating applied on the inside. I bought and had fitted an official Fortis exhibition case back for this watch so the complexity of the 7750 movement can be seen in the rear. The original steel case back is included but the limited edition numbers have become slightly faded. This is an average sized watch by modern standards and measures approximately 40mm across (without crown) and 15mm thick. The watch comes in a wooden leatherette lined Fortis box that fits inside a cardboard outer box. It comes with pillow, tag and spare bracelet links (secured in place with screw pins). Also included in the box are limited edition certificate, instructions and international warranty. Unfortunately, the seller did not stamp the warranty but the 7750 movement is known to be very reliable and I've had no problems with the watch at all since I've owned it.Postage within the UK will be £7 for Royal Mail Special Delivery. I can post to the European Union, with a flat rate of £35 for Parcelforce Global Priority shipping with full insurance.Payment via PayPal only please. Thanks for looking!
