Welcome - Here is something very special!Thank you for taking the time in viewing my many auctions and please do not hesitate to ask any questions you may have?   *** Fantastic Present, or just for you? *** My collection, when all watches and watch accessories are listed is considerable and varied. As I am now well into my 60's it will be a slow progression, ranging from the 1950's to current day; most watches are from high end Swiss watchmakers, well worth a look, I think? The great majority of my private collection have seen little wear and are in good order, ready to wear immediately and certainly worthy of your consideration. Most watches have been serviced, well maintained, batteries replaced where needed and offer you the opportunity to make an excellent investment. This particular watch is in excellent condition. No papers or box.  Please bid with confidence as I have been a member of the eBay community since 2002 and am very proud of my 100% feedback record. The 6 detailed photos are indeed, part of the description and should be viewed carefully. Thank you for visiting and please consider bookmarking my store for future listings?Girard Perregaux a brief HistoryThe history of the Girard-Perregaux Watch Company begins in 1791, when the watchmakers Bautte and Mouline founded a factory in Geneva to manufacture watches. In 1856 the watchmaker Constant Girard married Marie Perregaux and the unified firm of “Girard – Perregaux” came into being. In 1906 G. Perregaux acquired the earlier firm of Bautte and Mouline, and today the firm is located in La Chaux-de-Fonds. They have always made a name for themselves in the realm of wristwatches through their unique creativity and high quality mechanisms, one of a select few who produce many of its movements entirely in-house. Today, Girard Perregaux watches are among the most expensive timepieces money can buy. The following men’s Girard-Perregaux watch is a real stunner, a “Gyromatic” (self-winding) model with unique case design in excellent condition. This watch is quadruple-signed for G-P…on the dial, winding crown, case and mechanism and is even nicer in person – the stainless steel case is pristine It measures 40mm lug tip to lug tip and 33mm in width (36mm with original, G-P signed steel winding crown). It is powered by its original and high grade, 17 jewel rotor automatic Girard-Perregaux mechanism that has fullyoverhauled and serviced on the 28/2/2017 and comes with full warranty until 28/2/2018, ensuring it is running well and keeping accurate time. The enamel finished dial is in pristine condition, the original that’s been professionally restored and expertly done. It features a 60 second outer chapter that’s calibrated to 1/5 of a second for precision, raised silver numerals and arrow-shape hour markers, original silver metal Lance-style hands (light patina) and a ‘sweep’ arrow tipped centre seconds hand.  Signed Girard-Perregaux  Gyromatic below the 12.The armoured acrylic crystal is excellent, as new. The GP-signed case is solid stainless steel and in immaculate shape, unique for having peaked case sides (at the 9 and 3) instead of the traditional round case design.  The original stainless steel domed winding crown features the raised GP initials for Girard-Perregaux. It is excellent too, operating smoothly. This fine timepiece has been completely stripped down, detailed overhaul on the movement, new cover plate fitted to replace worn one reassembled, fully serviced, oiled, regulated to ensure it winds and sets effortlessly, keeping accurate time and finally polished and cleaned. As a result of this expensive overhaul, and full service, ($650), the watch comes with a full warranty until the 28/2/2018 from Artisan Jewellery, please read the warranty in the above photos.Turning the watch to the verso you can see that the screw-down, stainless back lid is in excellent order, stamped “67682233, Stainless Steel” in small font along the edge. Inside is a high quality rotor automatic mechanism that is signed Girard-Perregaux & Co., Seventeen 17 Jewels, 47EU – 733, Swiss, GXM.The inner case back is stamped GIRARD PERREGAUX 1791 SWISS, STAINLESS STEEL R with case number 67682233 below, and the same number that is stamped on the back lid. This outstanding and collectable Girard Perregaux watch is also fitted on a new 16mm black deBeer Paris lizard grain calf leather strap with matching steel buckle. This is a stunning timepiece, complete with a uniquely designed case that I have not seen before with a Gyromatic. If you think the photos look good just wait until you see this one in person, it is a keeper. Please remember, men’s vintage watches are noticeably smaller than oversized timepieces you see today. In addition, our name and address have been blocked out for security reasons, as I am sure you can appreciate, however, upon completed sale the buyer will receive the warranty letter with our name and address unblocked.Free PostageItem will be properly and carefully packed, sent via Registered Post with signature on delivery and insured for the purchase price to the Registered Pay Pal address only.
