Up for sale is a pocket watch from a Western MA estate. The specifics:- 18K gold case.- Measuring the case, tt is approximately 1 11/16" diameter and 2 1/4" from the bottom to the top of the ring where you'd attach a chain.Without attempting to open the watch, the dial is approximately 1 3/8" - 1 7/16" in diameter.- The outside of the case cover has a small decorative center section that looks like a shield and does not have a monogram.  It also has what looks like decorative niello finishing.  It opens and closes properly. See photos.- Inside of case cover is marked 35452.  It has scuffing and some scratching on the inside of the case cover- The watch face/dial is numeric numerals and has a smaller sixty second section as part of the dial.  It is in very good/excellent condition.- The back  of the watch case has a deocorative design like the front, but is not a shield with a spot for monogramming, it is just a decorative design.- The back of the watch case opens properly and the hinge functions properly.- The inside of the back watch case cover is marked 40733 at the top, has a crown above an 18 inside a shield for 18K gold and is marked 35452 at the bottom.- The cover over the movement says Henri Girod Geneva (in cursive writing) and is marked 35452.  This has keyhole access to wind the watch and change the time.  I have the key and both work properly.-  The key works to both wind the watch and change the time.- When I open the cover over the movement, it is also marked 35452.- I believe the exposed movement is a five finger movement, but I'm not certain.  It is unmarked except for "fast" and "slow" markings on the back. The pocket watch appears to be in fine running condition without any issues.  That said, I've not attempted to clean, service or alter it in any way.  It is presented as is, as found and in present condition as seen in description and photos.  I would say the case, both inside and outside, has normal wear for a watch that has been properly cared for and is likely 150+ years old.Items are normally shipped within one business day, but weekend sales are shipped Monday.Item will be shipped with tracking & signature required.
