He earned great respect after his travel to Spain in 1758, when the King bought his entire stock. Prior to that he had only one workshop in La-Chaux-de-Fonds, but this allowed him to open a second workshop in London, where he started his masterpieces. He later opened a third workshop in Geneva. Highly recognized, Pierre Jaquet Droz, was touring around the world and being universally applauded for his works of art, both horologically and aesthetically. He was known as the finest craftsman of his days and went on to teaching his techniques to many exceptional watchmakers and craftsmen.
