BEAUTIFUL  SIZE 6  SILVER  DEMI  HUNTER  CASE  POCKET  WATCH Hear for your consideration is a BEAUTIFUL old silver size 6 "Demi" Hunter Case Pocket Watch ca. late 1800s. We have little or no expertise in this area and got most of the watch's info from a retired antique dealer friend of ours. Thus we will leave it up to the experts to get anymore information from our photos below. The watch was acquired at a Philadelphia estate auction for the family of a retired doctor who was a collector of coins, silver, and early paper documents. This watch was included with some coin silver spoons and coins in a old oak box that once held medical glass slides. It's condition is unbelivable, probably a 9.5 on a scale of 1-10. It is a key-wind/key-set watch and comes with it's own key, although we do not think it is original to the watch. It is approximately 1 5/8" in diameter (40mm).  There is a serial number (55101) on each of the lids, with the front lid also having a "6" (which we assume is the size). There are no other marks that our old eyes could find. Best of all, it runs GREAT. We set the time twice and it ran for approximately 7 hours and it gained approx. 1 minute. We assume that this can be adjusted and would if we knew what we were doing. So we will leave that task to those with the expertise. As you can see in the photos the case is beautifully engrave with blue enameled numerals and no monogram. The hinge works beautifully with the other two hids functioning nicely. This is obviously a "KILLER" collector's watch, but also a wonderful gift idea for that special gal or guy! Based on it's condition I would think that it will attract many interested bidders, as well as substantial bids, but please examine the following photos and determine for yourself it's condition and value. As always, we are anxious to respond to any and all inquiries.

We retired a few years ago to Florida and are now slowly liquidating our coin and antique inventory (some of you may know what it is like paying off those college loans for our three daughters!). So keep an eye out over the this year as we start putting the "stuff" on EBAY. In fairness to all our friends we have decided not to accept any early offers and thus  not end our auctions early.
Ebay's new payment rules of requiring electronic payment only (paypal) have made it difficult for many of our customers who do not have a paypal account and do not want one.
