ANTIQUE 18K GOLD J JOHNSON POCKET WATCH, GOLD DIALThis is for an 18k J. Johnson pocket watch. This watch does not run because it won't hold a winding, but when you blow on the balance wheel it does tick and the seconds hand advances. I'm no expert but I think the doo-hickey that holds the mainspring when you wind it is not engaging (the click?). The watch looks like it was put in a drawer 150 years ago and not touched. It is near perfect except for an area on the inside back cover where someone tried to pry it open, who knows when. I tried to take a close-up pic of the damaged area that is kind of blurry but you can see it. Other than that the watch looks new.I don't know if this is the famous Joseph Johnson of Liverpool, England. It just says J.Johnson, Liverpool. There are a lot of Johnson watchmakers. This watch measures 2 inches diameter (51mm). I can't find my scale so I have to guess that it's somewhere close to 3+ ounces.Shipping will be through USPS Priority insured and will cost $12.50 - Global shipping thru eBay shipping.Good luck and enjoy the auction.
