Victorian 18 carat gold cased open faced English fusee pocket watch Inman, Liverpool circa 1864 In Good Working Order. White enamel dial with Roman numerals, signed John A. Inman, Liverpool in red lettering. Two part enamel dial with gold hands and a blued steel sweep centre seconds hand. The dial with Roman numerals, the outer seconds dial showing the quarter minutes with Arabic numerals and divided into seconds and quarter seconds. The dial has a minor hairline on the chapter ring each side of five. The case with the full British hallmark for Chester 1864 on the inner and outer cover as well as the bow and crown. The fully jewelled fusee movement with lever escapement, the balance wheel with gold screws and diamond end stone. Marked for the maker John A. Inman. 29 St James St, Liverpool. The case and movement numbered 12644. Wound and set from under the back cover. The sprung back cover works well and the case has no personal inscriptions. In good working order, on test it ran half a minute fast in 30 hours. Gross weight 100.5 grams. Diameter 48.5mm. 15.6mm thick over the glass. Complete with winding key.Our ref 2208
