What a beautiful watch and it runs!! This is a William Ellery Waltham Hunting Case Pocket Watch that is 18 Kt. gold and was made by the American Watch Company. Ellery was one of the presidents of Elgin watches. It is in it's original push button wooden case. The inside is royal blue velvet. The serial number of the movement of this watch is 829297 and dates it around 1875. The design is beautiful and the watch itself has little to no scratches. The porcelain dial does have three very slight cracks which you will see in Photo 8. You have to look closely to find them. One of them is on the side at Roman Numeral XI; one extends from the numeral II down towards the center and one starts at the IX and goes down to the center. The watch has two gold keys, one sets it and one winds it. As mentioned, it does run. The case # of the watch is 5203. The brass movement of watch is in very good condition. The watch has a 16 inch gold chain. If you have questions, feel free to contact us!
