HERE IS AN EXCELLENT WALTHAM RIVERSIDE MAXIMUS 23 JEWEL TOP OF THE RANGE POCKET WATCH IN GOOD WORKING ORDER. IT HAS 23 JEWELS THAT ARE ENCASED IN SOLID GOLD BUSHES,THE MAIN WHEEL, PALLET COCK PLATE AND BALANCE WHEEL ADJUSTMENT SCREWS ARE ALL ALSO MADE FROM SOLID GOLD TO ENSURE A FLAWLESS MASTERFUL TIME PIECE. THE MOVEMENT ALSO HAS FOUR DIAMOND ENDSTONES. SERIAL NUMBER IS 12509217 WHICH DATES IT TO 1903 AND IS A MODEL 1899 ACCORDING TO WALTHAM RECORDS. IT IS ALSO MARKED "23 JEWELS ADJUSTED 5 POSITIONS 12509217". THE WATCH IS FITTED WITH THE CORRECT ORIGINAL "MAXIMUS" SCRIPT DIAL AND IS IN GOOD CONDITION WITH A COUPLE OF HAIRLINES. THESE ORIGINAL DIALS ARE REALLY RARE NOW AND CAN COST OVER $250 IF YOU CAN FIND THEM. THE GOLD FILLED HUNTER CASE IS MADE BY KEYSTONE WATCH CASE CO. AND MARKED J.BOSS GUARANTEED 20 YEARS. THE CASE IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION WITH LITTLE OR NO WEAR. THE HINGED FRONT AND BACK COVERS OPEN TO APPROX 90 DEGREES. THE HANDS ARE SET BY PULLING OUT THE WINDER (PENDANT SET).
