Italico was born from the creativity of a very talented Italian designer, Riccardo Rossi. It was inspired from the history of the Roman Empire, so that all the watches and concepts come out from that idea. The watches are aggressive and innovative in the design and unique in their own style. It is very easy to associate the name of the brand and its meaning. The philosophy of this brand is to start a way through all the concepts of the Roman Empire that contributed to humanity's history of classical philosophy, science and progress. So with those themes in mind, the watches contain quintessessentially Roman architectural elements, such as those featured in famous Roman buildings like the Coliseum. The three models are: the Coliseum, the Imperator and the Gladiator. Each watch has been inspired by the name. So in the "Coliseum," we can easily recognize the arcs of the ancient monument in the top ring or the central arena where the gladiators used to die for the Emperor in the dial. The hands are two swords with the same proportion of a Roman sword. The second watch "Imperator" (English meaning is Emperor) is very aggressive like some emperors have been. The "Gladiator" has been inspired by the power of the gladiator’s strength with emphasis on the grate on the glass, which is reminiscent of jail bar since gladiators were locked up.
