Langley). The Kobold Langley GMT is the first Kobold watch for civilians with a quartz movement. It is highly precise and accurate and features a GMT function in observance of Langley’s contribution to the modern standard time system. The Kobold Langley GMT features a U.S.-made case designed, engineered and manufactured completely in-house by Kobold. The dial proudly displays the birthplace of both the standard time signal and the Kobold brand itself: Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Kobold's unique TripSafe mechanism adds further protection against strong shocks (U.S. patent pending). The Langley GMT exists thanks to the input of Pittsburgh mayor Bill Peduto who had the original idea to commemorate S.P. Langley with a special timepiece. The Kobold Langley GMT is produced in a limited edition of 1867 watches in stainless steel and 24 watches in solid 18k rose gold. Available with a number of options.
