1935 HAMILTON Seckron Vintage Duo Dial 14K Gold Filled Mens Watch - DOCTOR'S WATCH
First Edition Cal. 980A - Classic & Original - 1 Year Warranty The Hamilton Watch Co., America's most iconic vintage watch firm, built treasured timepieces that are still cherished by many today. During their peak years, which lasted from the 30's into the 60's, the Pennsylvania establishment developed a reputation for innovation and quality, creating some of the finest American made wristwatches. The first edition Seckron doctor's watch showcased in today's auction in an original example of one of the company's very collectible wristwatches. Released c. 1935, this first edition watch is powered by the caliber 980A rather than the 980B mechanism found in most examples. It features a large, peripheral seconds dial that insures the hour and minute hands never obstruct the view of the seconds, perfect for taking a patient's pulse and for technical uses. The watch is original down to the dial, hour and minute hands, and winding crown. The dial is very nice and has not toned much like most examples. The case shows gold wear. Our watchmaker has freshly cleaned and oiled the movement, which is very clean. Photos of the inside available upon request. Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate.
