Mint Thomas Ested Oignon pocket watch circa 1700 Champleve dial A rare pair-cased verge pocket watch watchmaker Thomas Ester, London,
diameter 57 mm, wheigt 134 g, circa 1700. Outer case made of silver, polished, large lateral hinge. Inner case also made of silver, polished, case maker's punch mark "IW". Bothe cases are very well preserved with only minor traces of wearing. Beautiful silver dial, Champlevé, inlaid radial Roman hours, chased centre with signature, blued steel "Poker & Beetle" hands. Fine full plate movement, keywind, firegilt, applied engraved ornaments, chain/fusee, Egyptian movement pillars, signed, three-arm steel balance, florally engraved, pierced balance cock.
