Exquisite and rare 18 k double housing Repoussé vergeuhr of English watchmaker Harry Potter, London, no. 761,.
Diameter 45 mm, 85g, circa 1780 -90. Massive double housing made of 18 k gold. The hallmark of the Goldsmith "P.R..". Internal Affairs case smooth. Outdoor housing with elaborate relief figurative scene. Representation of a wedding scene married with man and woman at a burning altar, an Archangel, while the spouses are surmounted by floating angels. Inner case with small signs of usage, external case in very nice condition. Enamel dial, radial Roman hours, Arabic minutes. Market. Two hands. The dial is beautifully preserved, only slightly scratched. Glass with small signs of wear. Full plate movement with vergehemmung, chain and Fusee. Key elevator, fire gilded, signed, issued, floral engraved and cut ornaments, square balusters pillar, three-arm steel balance wheel, slotted crafted balance bridge with noble coats of arms. The coat of arms shows a dwarf head between two scythes surmounted by a Crown. The clean work runs flawlessly. Overall condition of the watch very nice and functional. Inner case with small signs of wear, outer case in very nice condition. Enameled dial, radial Roman hours, Arabic minutes. Marked. Two hands. The dial is beautifully preserved, only slightly scratched. Full plate movement with verge escapement, fusee and chain. Key wind, fire applies, signed, floral engraved and pierced ornaments, square pillars, three-arm steel balance, pierced balance cock with noble coats of arms. The coat of arms shows a dwarf head between two scythes surmounted by a crown. The clean movement runs properly. Overall state of the watch is very nice and functional.
