New Baroque double housing vergeuhr anno 1743 John Sanderson Newcastle.

Beautiful and very early double housing vergeuhr the watchmaker John Sanderson from Newcastle to 1743. Diameter 51mm, weight 102 g. Outer shell made of silver, smooth, large outside hinge. Indoor housing also silver, smooth, casemacher counters character "PC" (Peter Cromillou, London), as well as English silver hallmarks. Get very nice inside case. Outer case with small signs of usage and Hallmark whipped by. Magnificent silver dial, champlevé, inlaid radial Roman hours, blued "Poker & Beetle" -Stahlzeiger. The dial is very well preserved. Magnificent full plate movement with key lift, vergehemmung, chain and Fusee. Fire gilt. Engraved and cut ornaments, square balusters pillar, signed, three-arm steel balance wheel. Finely engraved, embossed crafted balance bridge with grotesque mask. The clean works perfectly. The watch is in very nice, near mint condition, fully functional. Bibliography watchmaker: GH Baillie "Watchmakers and Clockmakers of the world" page 281 . Pair case verge fusee pocketwatch John Sanderson Newcastle circa 1743 . A rare pair-cased verge fusee pocketwatch in near mint condition by John Sanderson from Newcastle circa 1743 . Diameter 51mm, weight 102 g. Outer case made of silver, polished, large lateral hinge.
