Up for auction is a beautiful, near mint, working, 1901 14K Solid Yellow Gold Antique Waltham Women's Pocket Watch. This is solid 14K yellow gold, double hunter, with a decorative engraving and 0.11 carats of diamonds on the front case. The total gram weight of the watch is 33.3 grams. This has a hallmark on the front casing that says "SOLID GOLD 14K WARRANTED US ASSAY" with the serial number of 146724. This does not have any initials or inscription engraved anywhere on the watch which is unusual. The face of the watch is porcelin with black enamel Roman Numerals and minute markers that are in perfect condition which is also hard to find. This has a complicaton on the face which is for the seconds. This is a mechanical winding watch and keeps perfect time. These watches were usually worn around the neck on a chain and this does have several small dents which I have tried to show in the pictures as well as the normal daily wear on the back of the watch from it rubbing against the dress or shirt of the wearer. This has been serviced and I believe this has a 17 jewel movement. The front of the watch has a delightful decorative engravement and there has 7 round cut diamonds for a total of 0.11 carats. This is a beautiful piece for the watch collector or the perfect gift for someone who has everything. This would be an amazing gift for someone special.
