A fabulous quality antique, probably Russian, solid 18 carat gold (tests thereabouts) fob watch brooch; with linked gold chain, ornate silver-topped connector and set throughout with stunning glistening rose-cut diamonds and graduated natural fiery red rubies. The watch itself with a white porcelain dial, enamelled chapter, gilt hands and gilt highlights, and winding by rotating the bezel and setting by pushing the tiny button and rotating the bezel. In its original period fitted silk and velvet-lined gilt-tooled box by Wartski of Llandudno. Wow - absolutely of the finest quality, one of the best we've seen - a stunner! CONDITION: All original and very, very good. Faintest signs of wear, no loss or damage. Watch winds, sets and appears to go well. No problems. DEFECTS: None. DATE/MARKS: Around 1900/10. Indistinct gold marks to pin and watch ring. DIMENSIONS: Total drop 56 mm, bar 40 mm long (1 inch = 25.4 mm). To give an impression of scale, the coin is 19 mm or ¾ of an inch diameter. WEIGHT: Approx. 14.3 grams unboxed.
