SERIAL NUMBER #7046298........Safety pinion (PHOTO 4) OPEN FACE CASE Hallmarked COIN SILVER A.W.C. CO. #215913 PAT:1888 ....3..IRON CROSS HALLMARK(photo 5) some age superficial scratchings. Please take a look at photo 6 close up there are two very old instrument marks on the rigid beaded bezel. Obviously from inexperienced person trying to take crystal plate off, probably to try and return sub dial hand to proper location. Size 18......weight 148 grams......Total weight including fob and chain 176 grams Thick bevelled crystal glass PERFECT CONDITION protecting Rare WALTHAM enamel porcelain dial 12 GENUINE EMERALDS full round facet 1point cut strike markers total weight 0.12 CARAT 24 hour stunning stop time GORGEOUS!!! ORNATE PORCELAIN DIAL. Hallmarked "American Waltham" center plate dial. Gold gilt with elongated Roman Numerals I - XII strikes and Arabic numbers 13-24 strikes. Immaculate no rubbings, no fading or flakes~ 100% all numbers and gilt present. As common with these delicate enamel dials, plus I am fussy with my descriptions~ take a very close look photo 9, a faint hard to see hair line from VII TO V strike markers. SUB DIAL ~SECOND HAND LOUIS XV works perfect
3 GORGEOUS ORNATE GOLD GILD LOUIS XV SWEEP HANDS Pocket watch still winds. All the gears are moving smoothly ticks beautiful. I am not a horologist~ I know the oil has dissolved in the gears~I just wanted to state in description that all gears are moving smoothly. Crown lifts up and down smoothly and sweep hands set time no problem. Some pictures show second sweep hand not in location. Recently I did have Horologist inspect and reinsert gold second sweep hand. Everything original in good smooth operating condition needs cleaning/oil. This timepiece is sold as is I make no claims regarding accuracy as expectations vary considerably for this time "era"."PRIDE OF OWNERSHIP" is the only feeling you will display when this gem arrives in your mailbox. Excellent condition~extremely cherished and well cared for climate controlled no rust. I have personally owned and cared for this rare timepiece jewel for 40yrs, I am on my way out of collecting. The TIME has come for me to find someone who will cherish it as I did. It beams the revolution of horology. I have never ever seen another whole and complete. I once found just the dial & LOUIS XV sweep hands ~no movement at an antique show and he was asking huge $$$. After examining all that beauty, feast your eyes farther to the STERLING fob + chain.
