This is a lovely looking WW2 era Swiss Chronograph watch ,  It has just had a service so it is working great keeping excellent time with all functions running well .The chronograph starts from the top pusher , stops from the bottom one, and re-sets from the centre winding crown (a nice touch) The movement is very clean it is a Landeron Calibre 248 (modelled on the 48 ), the dial is nice with excellent patina and has some wear around the edges at the 1:30 position outer dial only , but i have not tried to touch it up , it would be an easy job if so desired   , the case is very good , i cannot see any markings bu there is a series of burrs in the rear cover that may be the remnants of a war department stamp or a "de-militarised" mark ? the case plate itself is excellent all round .As far as the maker i am stumped I have taken it to 3 watch experts and they have never seen one , they have seen a similar Optima and pierce but only the timer , not the full working watch .Another dealer said it may be Longines , Lemania or even Omega but cannot confirm .If anyone has the exact details of the maker please forward them to me , I would be very grateful.The watch itself is winding . setting & working beautifully , (including the chronograph) keeping superb time, it has been dis-assembled ultrasonically cleaned , re-assembled and tested for timekeeping .Please view all the 12 pictures of this lovely timepiece and email all questions .
