Watches offered without warranty but have been tested to be in running order using the following method-watches are wound up one day and then checked to see if they keep running the next morning-approx. 24 ours. Functions are also checked-date -day-timers functions etc. Any function problems that we find at the time will be noted or corrected. Watch cases are sanitized by steam and ultrasonic cleaning methods so that the new owner won't have the previous owners dirt and grime to deal with. If for some reason the case can't be cleaned we will note that. Dial Condition-- presentable with age imperfections as pictured -original hands Case Condition--nice used with age imperfections as pictured. Band-- new replaced Case Size-- 40mm Lug End to End , 37mm Across the case including the Crown -just under 35mm not including the crown Special Features--Very desirable Universal Geneve caliber 285 branded Girard Perregaux . I am not sure when the watch was last serviced but servicing may be in order. All functions work and all rest to zero. The reset pusher needs to be firmly pushed and held for a second or 2 until the 12 hour register sets to zero. I have ran the watch for several hours a couple of times and the 12 hour register recorder works fine . Collector's don't miss this one ! A lot of the descriptions are taken from the tags or label that were attached to the watch , watch part, tools etc and please use your own knowledge for correctness of the description. I will do my best to correct any inaccuracies. Please be advised that we have no service record of any of the watches from these estates and that cleaning , oiling and general servicing is recommended and more than likely required.Please be advised that any watch with a screw back will not be tightened completely and a new or replacement gasket will be needed . Any snap back type will be closed but a gasket will also be needed . These tasks will need to be done by the customer.
