Pocket Watch: high-fine, large, tri-color 20 K Gold vergeuhr with repeater, prominent Parisian master, Etienne Lenoir about 1740-1760t. 1164 Best Paris quality-made and superbly preserved vergeuhr with ¼ repeater and 20 k gold case of significant watchmaker Etienne Lenoir in Paris around 1750. The mineral glass in very nice condition. case of 20 k gold, three coloured gold... In the cover of the casemachers brand. extremely gorgeous case, worked in 4 gold, back relief representation of a Palace, both sides floral tendrils, high-quality 5-piece outdoor hinge the case is in excellent condition. Enamel dial signed radially arranged with Roman hour and Arabic minutes. Signed on the bezel. Two fine original Louis VX gold hands. Dial and hands are very well preserved. Very nice, gold plated full plate movement of first quality with ¼ repeater, vergehemmung, chain and Fusee. Percussion with two hammers on that case, mute bat "â toc et à tact". Finely cut and engraved balance coverage. Engraved and blackened spring regulation disc made of silver. Three-arm compensation balance brass. Round columns. Blued screws.
The movement is signed with "Etienne Lenoir Paris 2016". The movement runs flawlessly. Diameter of the watch 47mm, total weight 95 g. The clock is in excellent condition. Made in finest quality craftsmanship. A true masterpiece!

Elegantly fashioned enamel dial with Roman Arabic numerals and outer minute track, Louis XV gold hands, dial and hands are very well preserved. Is very fine brass hinged full plate, with tapered turned pillars, christophore with chain, verge escapement with micrometric potence Eagle, plain three-arm brass balance, flat balance spring, silver regulator scale, is pierced brass continental cock with polished steel end-piece, dumb quarter repeating with two hammers on block activated by depressing the pendant, silence piece to the edge of the engraved dial plate... The movement is finished to a very high standard, it been a longtime since I have Lakes such nice work, the quality of the craftsmanship is comparable to the best makers. Etienne Lenoir and his son Pierre-Étienne worked together from 1743, when the latter became a master, and established themselves shortly afterwards in the Quai of Orfèvres in the parish of St. Barthélemy. Tardy comments that it is impossible to differentiate between clocks made by them as they both signed their work in several different ways; ' Etienne le Noir', 'Estienne le Noir' and 'Etienne Lenoir'. They are known to have supplied clocks to the Marchand mercier, Lazare Duvaux, and Madame de Pompadour purchased several clocks containing movements made by them, including one which cost 1,080 livres, which she gave to the Princess of Naples. #ABOUT ME The love of old things makes me work as an antique dealer for over twenty years.
