Very collectable WW2 Luftwaffe Navigator's watch. Produced by Wempe of Hamburg it features an unsigned Minerva pocket watch movement. The watch has recently had the mainspring replaced and now runs beautifully. All distinguishing marks are visible including the ordinance and manufacturing numbers on both the inside and the outside of the back cover. Grey finish on the case is in very good condition, as is the crystal and the hands, which retain their original blueing to the edges. Fixed lugs as with all of these watches. The strap has been hand made and is secured with brass rivets. Slight rusting to the rear of the buckle and the backs of 2 of the rivets. I won't go into the history of these watches.
