The cases manufactured in Le Locle are among the best and most beautiful ones made in Switzerland and are famous for their masterpieces of gold work and engravings. This artful kind of cases was commonly produced for the Spanish and South American market. Enamel Dial with radial Roman hours, auxiliary seconds, aperture for cobalt blue enameled golden moon phase disc with golden moon and stars, date, moon age, two subsidiary dials for indications of the weekday and the month, Stone set hands. Dial and hands are in very good condition, the auxiliary seconds dial with hairlines. Dial Signed H. Grandjean & Cie. Locle No. 25284. Bridge movement, 29 Jewels, Guilt, finely ground, bevelled steel parts, 2 hammers, 2 gongs, gold train, wolfteeth winding wheels, gold screw compensation balance, counterpoised lever. Very early movement, not yet with possibility to set the calendar, only by setting time past 12 o`clock, then the calendar moves on. Movement signed H. Grandjean & Cie. Locle. Das Werk befindet sich in schönem Zustand. Interessanter Weise kann der Kalender nur justiert werden indem man die Zeit vorstellt, anscheinend ein früher Kalender.
